Christmas Party 2019
Saturday 21st December We invited all children, and their parents, for a festive afternoon of fun & games and then we invited all adults for a festive evening of fun & chat to celebrate Christmas 2019! We got the children's party started at 16.30, and we enjoyed an afternoon of games & play, food & drink along with some festive tunes on our jukebox! And just like before, even little Ježíšek made a surprise visit!!

Then, at 19.00 we re-opened the doors of our Children's Centre again - but this time, only for adults!
We enjoyed a peaceful evening of food & drink and music & chat. |

5th annual
Autumn Forest Walk Saturday 9th November, 2019 It was a very rainy start to the day itself, but by the time we got to the rendezvous for our 2nd expedition from Syrakov to Vartovna the rain had stopped so our adventure could began! Many thanks to all the hikers & ramblers, young and even younger, who joined us on this year's Autumn Forest Walk as we walked along the muddy forest path into the clouds at the top of the viewtower - and back again!

Garden Party
Saturday 17th August, 2019 On this pleasant summer's afternoon, we hosted our first ever Garden Party in the amazing gardens of Zlin's Children's Centre! From 15.00 to 19.00, we enjoyed plenty of barbecued food & refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails, as well as plenty of fun & chit-chat too :-D Many thanks to all who came along! It was a very pleasant time in a very pleasant place with a group of very pleasant people!

Picnic in the Park
Sunday 16th June, 2019 For the 5th time, we went back to our favourite park in Zlín for our annual early summer event! And, in addition to the usual food & drinks, fun & games and chit-chat ... the 2019 event was a cupcake festival! We were surprised and delighted by the tasty home-made treats - some of the 'savoury' cupcakes really pushed culinary boundaries!

Spring Walk
Saturday 18th May, 2019 Our 2nd annual Spring Walk took place in the surroundings of Zlín! We met in front of the U Jelena restaurant at 10.30 and, shortly after, we set off on our expedition. We walked to Kostelec (5km round trip). We followed the Janustice stream, we passed Burešov and continued to Štákovy paseky and onwards to Kostelec, where we stooped for a well-derserved a lunch break. Then, we returned back to our rendez-vous in time for afternoon tea & cake!

Easter Egg Trail Saturday 13th April, 2019 Once again our Easter Bunny came to 'The Forest Playground' here in Zlin, but a little earlier than usual, to hide her eggs for us to find. Many thanks to all who braved the drizzle & cold and hunted her sweet treats!

Christmas Party
Friday 21st December, 2018 We invited all children, and their parents, for a festive afternoon of fun & games and then we invited all adults for a festive evening of fun & chat to celebrate Christmas 2018! For the 2018 festive season, our party was held at English in Zlin HQ - in our Children's Centre. We started the party at 16.30 for the children, and we enjoyed an afternoon of traditional Christmas games & activities along with some Christmassy music to dance to! Even little Ježíšek made a surprise visit!! Then, at 19.00 we re-opened the doors of our Children's Centre again - but this time, only for adults! We enjoyed a peaceful evening of food & drink and music & chat.

Autumn Forest Walk
Saturday 3rd November, 2018 For the 4th year in row, we went for our Autumn Forest Walk - and it was the most romantic so far! We took a romantic forest walk from the dam in Luhačovice up to the Lake of Love (Jezírko lásky) and back down to the spa colonnade. It was an unseasonable warm but typically splendid day out with some very fine people :-)

Picnic in the Park
Sunday 24th June, 2018 For the 4th time, we went back in our favourite park in Zlín for our annual early summer event! And, in addition to the usual food & drinks and fun & games ... the 2018 event was a Cookie Festival! Many thanks to everyone who, despite the not-so-summery weather, came and made it such a pleasant afternoon!

Spring Walk
Saturday 26th May Under a blue sky with sunshine & white, fluffy clouds we enjoyed & admired the sights, smells and sounds of Spring as we walked from Troják to Tesák - and back! We met at the local pub on Troják around 11:00 and at 11.30 we began our walk along a beautiful forest trail to Tesák. When we completed the 7km trail we enjoyed a well-deserved lunch before heading back to Troják . We had perfect weather for our perfect day out :-)

LATE SUMMER BBQ Saturday 9th September, 2017 A summer is never a real summer unless you have a barbecue! So ... on Saturday 9th September we held our LATE SUMMER BBQ in a beautiful garden near the River Dřevnice- we enjoyed sausages & home-made burgers as well as other delights!! A fine time was had by all - adults, children & the dogs too!!

PICNIC IN THE PARK Sunday 25th June, 2017 On Sunday 25th June at 15.00 English in Zlin went back in Zlin's most beautiful park and hosted another afternoon of food, fun & games. But, in addition to our usual activities, this year's event was a Muffin Festival! Congratulations to The Zelik Family who won the first ever 'tastiest muffin' competition, based on taste & artistic merit!! Many thanks to everyone who came and made it such a pleasant afternoon!

Easter Egg Trail Saturday 22nd April, 2017 We spent a rainy Saturday morning in Spring back in the forest playground. The Easter Bunny was there to prepare Easter egg trails for the hardy children, and adults, who braved the weather and joined us to hunt for her hidden, chocolate treasures - over & over again!

Autumn Forest Walk Saturday 22nd October, 2016 We walked from Kudlov to Malenovice ..... ..... from the lighthouse to the castle. It was a chilly start but a sunny finish to a very pleasant trip through one of our local forests :-)

PICNIC in the PARK On Sunday 26th June from 15.00 English in Zlin went back in Zlin's most beautiful park and hosted another afternoon of food, fun & games. We enjoyed many things including games & sports, nuts and even a little cider. Many thanks to everyone who came and made it such a pleasant afternoon - after a while the sun came along too!

FRINGE FILM FESTIVAL
Saturday 4th June The Zlin Film Festival is one of the most popular annual events in Zlin. So, we decided to 'join in the fun' and extend the festival by adding our own FRINGE FILM FESTIVAL. We showed, for one evening only, a 60-minute collection of international short films in original language with English subtitles. Our programme ranged from a Canadian animation in Russian language to Greek street artists and we finished with a winning last kiss from England - we chose a fine selection! Many thanks to those who came and made our 1st FRINGE FILM FESTIVAL such a pleasant event - see you again next time

EASTER EGG TRAIL
We spent 'Maundy Thursday' morning in the forest playground. The weather was kind to us & The Easter Bunny was even kinder! The Easter Bunny prepared Easter Egg trails for the children and they loved hunting for her hidden, chocolate treasures - over & over again!

PICNIC in the PARK
We proudly hosted the first of many special events to be organised by English in Zlin. It was a hot & sunny Sunday, over 30°C, and we enjoyed an afternoon of food, mostly cakes, drinks, mostly juice & garden games, mostly croquet, in Zlin's most beautiful park. Many thanks to everyone who came & for making it a great time.
