We are looking for people to work as teaching assistants alongside our Native Teachers.
The main role of the teaching assistant is to act as an interpreter between the teacher and the learners, as well as providing some general support when required. In return for the time and energy provided voluntarily, teaching assistants have regular communication with a Native teacher, we support their English learning and we can also provide references for university and job applications. Previous teaching experience is not necessary and guidance & direction will be given. All applicants must have B1 level English, a keenness for working with children and a readiness to be fully immersed in the lessons! We are keen to meet native English speakers to teach our children, teenagers & adults.
For courses with children, the main role is to deliver fun, enjoyable and beneficial lessons using exercises, games, role plays & stories (many materials are available in our children's centre). For courses with teenagers & adults, the main role of the native speaker is to provide conversation-based lessons, mostly for our intermediate-to-advanced learners, with plenty of error correction & vocabulary building. We do not follow any specific methodologies, so therefore, no formal training is given. However, we provide support & direction as much as is required and we regularly provide feedback and encouragement. Previous teaching experience or qualifications are not necessary. All applicants must have a keenness for working with people and a readiness to progress and develop our learners. The main role of the English teacher is to provide grammar-based lessons, mostly for our elementary-to-intermediate learners, with plenty of error correction, vocabulary building as well as speaking practice. We do not follow any specific methodologies, so therefore, no formal training is given. However, we provide support & direction as much as is required and we regularly provide feedback and encouragement. Previous teaching experience or qualifications are not necessary. All applicants must have at least C1 level English, a keenness for working with people and a readiness to progress and develop our learners. In addition, any applicant must have lived in an English-speaking country for a significant period of time (at least one year).
